Mozart, Mozart and more Mozart! Prague was one of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s favourite places and where he first premiered and conducted Don Giovanni back in 1787.

Praguers love their opera and musicals and there is always something going on in one of the many stunning concert halls in the city. From Tosca to Carmen, there is guaranteed to be something on that will amaze you – and if you’ve seen them all then don’t forget to look out for some of the local Czech operas such as Smetana’s The Kiss or The Bartered Bride.

Most productions are in their original language, which to non-opera goers normally means Italian, and have English and Czech super titles. Ticket prices are unbelievably cheap in comparison to other capital cities!
