As in most cities in Europe, the summer season means the holiday season not only for the inbound tourists but also for a lot of the theatres that take the opportunity to have much earned rest.
However, the Střelecký Festival, which is held in Prague every summer, is the one place that still has a buzz at this time of year and attracts many visitors both tourists and locals. This is a fab opportunity to get some fresh air and take in some culture at the same time in beautiful location. It runs from June until September and you will need to check the programme for what’s on as it doesn’t only host cinema but also theatre and music productions.
