When in Prague Mozart often played in an estate called Vila Bertram, which is now home to a museum in his honour, and is a charming venue for classical concerts, which are held either in the garden or the salon from April to October every year.
It is in this special setting that one feels an intimate connection with history and music, in an atmosphere that keeps people coming back time after time to experience not only Mozart’s masterpieces but also music from his contemporaries and other modern composers. It also has a café called Café Bertramka, which is open from 9 until 6 in the summer season and from 9.30 until 4 - November to March and serves alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages, tea & coffee, delicious cakes and light lunches.
By special arrangement the café becomes host to private functions of an evening and is a much sought after location for weddings. For programme information in English and tickets visit the official website.
