Driving licenses can be exchanged for Czech equivalents. Owners of a driving license staying in the Czech Republic for more than 185 days a year, respectively holders of a long term or permanent residency permit are obliged to file for a Czech driving license at the City Hall.
EU citizens, who are holders of a driving license issued by any EU member country, are not obliged to exchange their driving license for a Czech one, regardless of the length or purpose of their stay in the Czech Republic.
