Visual art does not need language to get across its message and so theatres are great entertainment for children who do not speak Czech and at the same time it is a wonderful possibility of waking up their interest in classical and modern arts.
A classical form of theatre for children is the puppet theatre, for example the National Marionette Theatre. Another genre is the black light theatre, originating in China, it has become very popular in Prague where you can find 9 of them. The third suggestion is the Laterna Magika, a modern and unique form of visual experience. It is a mix of mime, colourful costumes, dance, film and visual effects.
